A home economist plays a crucial role in any TV cookery program or video shoot. I collaborate closely with the talent to ensure their comfort on camera and to meet all their food needs, I liaise with the production company to ensure the seamless execution of the shoot.
I've had the opportunity to collaborate with numerous chefs across a wide range of shows, channels, and production companies. My experience spans from children's cookery programs to Michelin-starred cooking and everything in between.
The emergence of social media content and the growing demand for food videos has opened up a plethora of exciting opportunities. I've been involved in creating content for various brands including Waitrose, M&S, Tesco, Heinz and Hexclad as well as unexpected collaborations with Pokemon and Admiral. Each project has called for unique cookery content and recipes tailored to their specific channels and audiences.
Food Styling
As a food stylist, I get to play with food all day, turning delicious dishes into Instagram-worthy masterpieces. It's all about making every plate pop, from arranging veggies just so to getting that perfect cheese pull. With a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of flair, I transform meals into edible works of art that not only taste amazing but look drool-worthy too. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients from fine dining menus to kids cookery shows and everything in-between.
Recipe Development
I develop recipes for numerous brands, chefs, and TV programs. Collaborating closely with clients, I tailor recipes to suit their specific requirements and, when needed, instruct talent or contributors on their execution. My recipes have been published in books, magazines and online as well as in-depth articles on food and ingredients.
Cookery Demos and Presenting
I thoroughly enjoy igniting people's passion for food! My contagious enthusiasm, spontaneous creativity, and sense of humour ensure an engaging experience, blending entertainment with knowledge and warmth. My formal chef training provides a solid foundation across all culinary techniques.
My drive stems from the belief that encouraging others to cook and eat sustainably can profoundly impact not only our well-being but also the health of our planet. Over the years, I've whipped up mouth-watering recipes and orchestrated memorable food events, each strategically highlighting specific ingredients or products. Collaborating with reputable brands such as Taylor and Colledge, Barts, The Country Living Magazine, and the BBC Good Food Show has been a rewarding aspect of my journey.
